Agribotix Launches QVu™ First Results, Accelerating Drone Scouting

– Do more in a single field visit with Agribotix QVu –

Boulder, CO, February 28, 2017 – Today, Agribotix launched QVu™ First Results, an addition to its award-winning FarmLens™ analytics software for agricultural drone operators. A QVu report is produced in minutes at the surveyed field’s edge, even in locations with no cell or internet connection. The operator can now validate the quality of the drone data collection and can check problem areas revealed by the drone flight while still at the field; gaining immediate insight and saving time.

Marlon Martinez from Fertica Panamá, the largest agrochemical distributor in the country, says “Our drone operators with QVu can service many more fields per day. We used to dispatch them to a field twice, once to run the drone and another time to scout. With the QVu results, we can typically perform the drone flight and scouting in a single visit. When the customer is there, we can share the QVu results shortly after the flight, which allows us to deepen our relationship with them.”

The QVu First Results are a preliminary version of the final results that are produced by the cloud-based QVu to ensure that it will allow an operator to locate and, if desired, ground truth the major issues shortly after landing their drone,” said Tom McKinnon, CTO of Agribotix. “The operator can add any photos or notes taken in the field to the Guided Scouting™ Report in FarmLens,” added Dr. McKinnon.

QVu is available today to all FarmLens subscribers using an Agribotix Agrion™ agricultural drone and most unmodified drones manufactured by DJI.
